I agree with you that I would prefer a do-follow blog. I really don’t pay attention when I write a comment in a blog though. If it interested me, I will leave them a glowing comment. I want to let them know that I was there and enjoyed the effort that they put forth. I wish more people would do this.

Good article! I think do-follow blog commenting is more beneficial form a website link. But it doesnâ€™t mean that no-follow blog commenting is not valuable.

Hi Susanne,

I’ve always been confused about the dofollow – nofollow issue. I was under the impression that it was a waste of time to ever post at a nofollow blog.

You made it clear that it all boils down to your purpose in placing blog comments.

1. If I’m placing a blog comment to get traffic to my affiliate link, then any high traffic blog will work, even if my link has the nofollow attribute applied to it. In this case I’m looking for traffic not link juice.

2. If I’m placing a blog comment hoping to get backlink link juice to an article page on my site then the dofollow attribute must be in place.

SIMPLE.
